Grand Finals Summer Juniors

So how many GF's will Sturt take out in the boys and Forestville in the Girls for division one?

Will any teams cause an upset?

Would you say Centrals are now the top club in boys? They won 14 and 16 boys.

Didn't I say before Centrals would be the "Sturt of the North" ?

Not yet. Sturt have more talent across the board (e.g div 2 to 4). And Centrals are still developing at under 18 level. Whilst I don't think that the Centrals 12's playing div 2 for summer will hurt them in the future (when they get to 14s they will get very good coaching to make up for it, our 14s coach certainly has his methods tried and tested), you still can't consider a club the best club without a d1 team on each age group. Whilst I believe (from posts on here) that they are playing d1 in winter, you would have to assume they will be average at that level at best. Sturt also had a team in every d1 grand final for boys, and while it is only summer, it is an indicator of the strength they will have for winter. Centrals are certainly fast developing, they clearly have the best 14's and 16's boys teams, and I think we will be the best boys program in 2-5 years, but certainly not yet. Fastest developing program at D1 level based in results, and definetly the best boys program north of the City, but to suggest we are already ahead of sturt is getting a bit ahead of ourselves!

As I'm sure you can tell I'm from Centrals, no association to sturt.

I should clarify my above post. We COULD be the best boys program in 2-5 years based on our potential. You can't say a club WILL be the best, whole range of things could happen between now and then, but if things keep going the way they will there is a good chance we will be the "premier boys club" some time soon

On the results it is good to see Central boys do well in 14 and 16 Div 1 boys. On the girls side Eastern have made some inroads in F/Ville dominance with wins in the 14 Div 1 and Div 2.Girls. Overall Sturt rule boys and F/Ville rule girls, other clubs need to lift to change what appears an eastern(Goodwood Road) dominance(Sturt,F/ville).

Looks like finals went pretty much to script so no big surprises overall.

Good to see a northern club take out two of the div 1 wins in the boys.. Especially a club that's been regarded as easy beats for a long time.

Would like to see if there is more variations in the girls results if Ref group deal with the Zoning that occurs, particularly in 12/14's. Would love to see Zone busting plays by coaches and Supervisors educated and encouraged to take action. Just a thought....
