Mavs vs Tigers
In the women, the Mavs easily took care of an under-womaned Tigers outfit. Standouts were predictable, not much for the Tigers but Francis and Williams were very good for the Mavs. Francis has such a composure about her game you wonder how far she can go...
In the men, Mavs won by 3 in a really tight encounter. The Tigers hit the lead inside 120 seconds remaining on the back of a Bowley jumper but failed to score the rest of the way to go down 86 - 83. With 17 seconds remaining and down by two, the Tigers had their chances but lack of experience cost them dearly.
Standout were Goodenough for the Mavs with 19 pts and 7 assists and for the Tigers, Gerlach was very solid while Bowley led all scorers with 20 points and 16 rebounds (14 def.).
