Tigers keep Lucas Walker

"The re-signing of Nate and Lucas is a strong statement by the club and the players that we want to continue to build on the success of this season," Tigers general manager Vince Crivelli said.

“Nate and Lucas are not only important players for us on the court, but excellent leaders and contributors to the wider basketball community with what we are doing off the court.”

IMO he's an knucklehead, albeit a very athletic one.

Somewhat agree with you Mystro but he is a good rebounder, able to hit the open 3 and plays with hustle...all things the sixers could use in the 3 spot.

Good to see someone can make the transition from hype to solid player, Creek and Cadee should take notes.

Creek plays 8 less minutes per game then Walker. Those extra 8 minutes would make a big difference

Creek has played 24 minutes (Walkers average minutes) three times this season and averaged 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Creek's problem is not enough minutes.

There is normally a reason a coach doesn't give a player enough minutes.

There were plently of minutes up for grabs after Frye went home although Joey didnt seem to have any faith in Creek.

Walker > Wortho

@anon421 - have to disagree there. I'm loving Walker's last season, but the guy is dense, and can't provide the on and off court leadership Wortho can.

@Mystro your opinion would change when you get to talk to him for a bit. Great bloke, plenty of time for people he know's are genuine and great with the kids. Great person for the Tigs to have around at the club!

If he models himself on Blake Griffin and keeps improving then I may just end up thinking he's worth keeping.

Sure, he's good enough to play in the NBL, but he's still a few years away from being automatic starting five in my book.
