It will be interesting to see how he goes having all the power.
They really needs some more shooting and may be better off moving Smith to PF and trading Monroe for a shooting SG/SF.
If they can get some gun 3pt shooters to rotate at SG and SF then Jennings, Smith and Drummond will have an easier time in the key.
They finally get rid of Stuckey and Villanueva contracts, so depending on what they do with Monroe they may have some cap space to get free-agents.
Just make better choices then previous years, ie Gordon and Villa :)

Stan Van Gundy needs all the power he can muster to overhaul the Piston's flawed roster.
Monroe and Drummond can work together; Monroe, Drummond AND Smith can't (easily). While Monroe would be easier to move, I hope the a Pistons bite the bullet and move Smith and Jennings for a pass-first PG (perhaps Vasquez if he's a free agent), play Singler at SF and don't overpay a starting SG (Afflalo?).
In any case, hiring SVG was a smart move.

What is Monroe's defence like?
Would he be a good fit next to Dirk?
Dirk has never really had a decent post-up player at C, it would be interesting to see how it works out.
He is 6'11" and 250lbs, same size as Dalembert so he should be able to handle playing C.
