A team of NBA players within NBL salary cap

Just an idiotic hypothetical wondering what sort of team you could assemble within the NBL's $1m salary cap, using current season and current team NBA player deals. I'm going by HoopsHype's numbers and don't care whether it was just a 10-day contract, just whatever they have listed for this season.

e.g., here are some 'name' players. There are many scrubs in the $30-60k bracket.

Drew Gooden - $411k
Danny Granger - $357k
Glen Davis - $350k
Stephen Jackson - $238k
Sasha Vujacic - $69k
Shane Edwards - $28k
Dexter Pittman - $53k
Seth Curry - $37k
Beno Udrih - $359k
Josh Childress - $223k
Caron Butler - $386
Hamed Haddadi - $200k
Royce White - $57k
Shannon Brown - $139k
Jamaal Tinsley - $139k

Royce White would travel by bus, of course.

Or a mixture of those plus locals that would likely fit within the points cap too.

Royce White is the biggest steal there.

NBL Games are days and days apart so he could just go by bus and leave his home city a couple days before the team does and just meet the group a day before the game. Easy done

Maybe he travels to Breakers games by boat...

Royce White would be a nightmare. If you think he's being difficult in America watch him adjust to another country and see how well it goes...

You'd have to manage to get Royce to Australia first.......

Could Stephen Jackson possibly be considered as a marquee player by teams? No NBA team wanted him this season after the Clippers released him and he has played in the league before, so would have knowledge of the league and country.

Getting Seth Curry would be great marketing. Man, if his father and brother came to watch a few games, theyd all sell out for sure!

Also be great to get Stephen Jackson back in the NBL now with all his NBA experience since leaving

And Lebron or KD for the marquee player :)

Seth Curry would be absolutely incredible in the NBL.

Royce White can't catch a bus over to Australia!! I'm pretty sure that hypothetical debunks itself.

I wonder if say $160k each would get you Seth Curry and DeAndre Liggins to the NBL??

It would be a significant rise on what they both earnt last year, and at some point the chances of them getting a decent NBA gig become less and less. Liggins made $88k Curry made $37k.

Imagine if the 36ers got them, even if it means one of them replaces DJ

How good would a roster like this be!!

Schenscher/?? best big we can get, NOT Ben Allen
Petrie/Anthony
Liggins/Creek
Gibson/Teys
Curry/Carter

We lose a little out of C, especially if Schenscheer gets hurt, but would be still an awesome team imo, with 2 potentially great imports.

(i know its unlikely, but i reckon these are the first guys clubs should be offering $150k-$250k spots to.)

Danny Granger is only 357K, wow that is cheap if he can regain that old form.

Obviously outside of the NBL but wouldn't that be a sight.

Seth Curry had multiple contracts this season, so pretty sure he made more than the $37k. But still, nothing extravagant that would shame an NBL salary.

Don't think Seth needs the money. He'll play wherever he thinks gives him the best shot to make an NBA roster, so in that regard everyone should be hoping for the best for Ennis.

Granger had his contract paid out, so his actual earnings of the season are a tad more.

Wow Caron Butler has certainly fallen, always was a big fan of his when he played for Washington.

I wonder if there would be any interest in getting him into an NBL team

Getting Seth Curry would be great for publicity.
Hopefully Ennis secures a nice NBA contract (he should've been MVP).
