How did the vba work back in those days? Did the Melbourne tigers compete in both the nbl and vba?

Or how did a vba side end up playing against an nbl side

Would be awesome if something like this could still happen.

Wednesday night knock out comp for the SEABL teams with the final played against United at the end of the SEABL season/NBL pre season.

The good old days!

The SEABL and NBL teams played on Wednesday nights then on the weekends.
You never knew which of the NBL players would suit up on a wednesday night, sometimes it was the full team, others it was the bench and Div 2 players.

The Best Basketball ever at the old Albert Park.

Wednesday nights were great. Not a whole lot of defence but SEABL teams always lifted a cog when they took on the Tigers.Imports for Tigers didnt play alot but Drewey use to love to get out and land some bombs.Certainly beats training...

Whilst SEABL is a shadow of what it was in the 90's, the NBL is a lot less its former product than the 90's also. Would be some great games, and throw in Ringwood Hawks.
