Deng Adel commits to Louisville

Start of the Story Below:
--------------------------------------------------------------
There are always players that truly emerge during the spring evaluation period as potential five-star prospects. This year, one of those players was Deng Adel, an Australia native who came to America in the fall.

After he continued to impress during May and June, Adel was one of the most sought-after wing forwards in the country - but Louisville had its foot in the door for several weeks and would be tough to beat.

Most thought it was only a matter of time before Adel committed.

That time came on Monday evening, when Adel popped for the Cardinals.

Adel is Louisville's first commitment in the class of 2015. With Adel off the board, only three of the top nine small forwards in the 247Sports Composite rankings are still available.
----------------------------------------------------------------

No surprising, as he said last month that Mangok Mathiang is like a brother to him.

Mangok and Deng are cousins. Good to see players making it to top D1 colleges without being selected in State teams etc.

I hope Maker eventually joining the national team motivates guys like Adel and Mathiang to do the same. There's a lot of talent coming out of the Sudanese-Australian community.

Btw, i've read recently that he's a five star prospect now? interesting. Does this kid have lottery pick potential?

In the 2016 draft we could potentially have Simmons and Maker in the top 5 and Adel in the lottery. That would be insane for Aussie basketball!
