Intro: 94Fifty and Aussie Basketball Travellers

Two sponsors have joined Hoops for the next six months: thanks to 94Fifty and ABT for their support!

94Fifty is a Bluetooth-based smart sensor basketball that helps you work on your ball skills, especially shooting.

The ball utilizes embedded motion sensors to measure the player's skill in real time. This information is sent to a mobile smartphone via Bluetooth and gives players of all skill levels access to immediate feedback on shooting and ball-handling skills. The free, downloaded App contains four distinct experiences, each with its own purpose:

Develop your skills through four levels in the Workout section;
Learn how to shoot at game speed or soften your shot with proper shooting arc in the Skill Training section;
Challenge your family, friends or teammates with Head to Head skill competitions; &
Challenge anyone in the world through twitter in the Social Challenge section.

Meanwhile, Aussie Basketball Travellers is your chance to experience USA basketball tours at their best; they run tours for clubs, schools and individuals.
ABT have arranged tours for close to 100 groups from across Australia and the USA, including both club and school groups from Australia and University basketball teams from the USA, including the University of North Carolina, the University of Nebraska and St Mary's College. Each of our tour groups has been impressed by the high quality of our level of inclusions, pricing and overall tour, as well as most importantly being able to show each traveller a unique cultural experience while in the USA.

great to see basketball industry sponsors involvement..
can only make Hoops stronger and more cash positive..
perhaps not important now that Hexiled has made enough cash for that lifestyle on the yacht in the Caribbean now Isaac?

Great work! Great product and companies to work with - also supporting the Pick and Roll too.

I wasn't familiar with 94Fifty at all. Looks like a great product. Too pricey for a casual, part-time baller like me, but its a great idea and I can only see technology like that being used more often and in more sports into the future.

they use Molten balls because that's whet they will be playing with at the Fiba Worlds. Moltens bounce very differently to Spalding balls. There was an issue raised at the last NBA tryout when lots of collge kids had never used a Spalding ball and had difficulty handling them as all they used were Wilson or Nike, both of which are VERY different to the Spaldings.
