Could Thon Maker be coaxed to the NBL?

If a team payed him $400K could he be lured to play in the NBL for the 15/16 season? At the very least NBL clubs should enquire about it, or is he definitely going to College for a season?

Why would he take up that offer when he's probably NBA bound? I know the path I'd take!

Isaac Humphries is averaging 8ppg and 6.7rpg in the SEABL. You think Thon Maker is that much better than Isaac that he would be worth $400 000 in the NBL?

No kid no matter how good at 17/18 is getting 400K in the NBL.

Even exum wouldn't get that as the amount of recourses that is requires a high level proven performer and to much of a risk on a kid in the NBL.

NBA they are rookies but the amount paid compared to rescourse of hand is small.

It would be a suicidal move for the player and any club who paid that amount.

Tiger, what about LeBron when he was 17/18? Or Kevin Garnett?

He would need to put on 50 kilos to even withstand the rigorous play, let the kid become a man first and get an education

too many young players being pumped up. Play a u19 team against an open team and what is the result?

Very few u20 players in any sport can mix it with with the pros.

"No way in hell we will ever see him in the nbl we will be lucky if he ever plays for the boomers"

In an interview a few months ago he said that he was pretty keen to play for the Boomers and plans to play in the under 19's next year.
