He already had a non-guranteed contract for the pre-season training camp. This is a contract for ay least this season - however no details as to what kind of contract it is have come to surface just yet.

Perhaps he will be stashed back in Aus! No way he gets meaningful minutes this season, Jazz have a lot to work out personnel wise... Dante is no lock to be much of anything this season either, so patience is required!

Good news for Brock, but most likely will be paling D-League for Idaho Stampede awaiting any injuries for a call-up.

"Stashed back in Australia", wouldn't that be nice if the NBA saw Australia as the type of place to put players who weren't quite ready.

A bit like James Ennis and DeAndre Daniels?

If the NBL really wanted that to be an option to NBA teams they should change the rules back to 48 minute quarters and allow 3 imports. Also allow 2 imports to be paid outside of the salary cap by NBA teams would make it attractive to not only NBA clubs but players as well.

NBL - $1m salary cap.
NBA - $65m salary cap.

Pretty sure the NBA clubs wouldn't mind stashing players and paying them say $500K per season.

Curtley, the NBA are beginning to see the NBL that way. Especially the Wildcats

#993, only issue is for an NBA team to pay their salary it has to go against the teams cap. The reason Perth got Ennis and I think Daniels, was because Miami didn't have room to even pay the minimum and the players got more here than the 40k or so D League teams pay.

A lot of teams at this time of year sign guys to these type of contracts so other teams can't poach them just in case they turn out to be good.
