Apparently the rumour is that thon maker is going to canada to be able to avoid college basketball and go straight to the nba. Might this be because he has been lying about his age and thinks his stock would drop if he were to play ncaa ball?

What is the source of the rumour?
I have my doubts that he will make it long term. I hope he does but his youtube packages hide some pretty crappy shooting percentages for someone his size in high school. He also seems too weak, hopefully he adds some muscle soon.

OP, Thon Maker is (by all accounts) moving to Canada.
He could be looking to bypass college.
He could be lying or misrepresenting his age.

this is an HOF thread, and nobody has even mentioned that Maker is in beast mode or that he dunked on cecil exum.
We've had three topics about this in the past few days.
Apparently it's a good school and will be good for his development.
I just hope that what he's said about playing for Australia is true and that he won't play for the Canucks.
