Gladness only managed 4 boards and shot 3/8 from the free-throw line. Interesting.

No Norton by the looks of it for Townsville...

Good to see Steindl in form.

Yep, plus the 8/12 FG you failed to mention.

I'm more worried about Taipans FG%, they've been terrible all pre-season, and have had far too many single digit quarters.

Can someone confirm that venue is there 'new' home venue?

Confirmed.

Good to see the NBL still doesn't record blocks as an official stat.

Gladness with "3". I just watched the highlights and there were closer to 10.

Looks like he goes for the block every time though and rarely goes "straight up" which could put him in foul trouble a bit. Still he looks the goods. Definitely a force with length the NBL hasn't seen in a long time.

Mick, when the Crocs go down to Melbourne you have to be there.

Watching him on tape is one thing but seeing him just swoop in and pluck the ball away from 6'10" Alex Loughton is something you need to see live. Especially when he tries dropstep moves on the block but gets out-muscled and forced under the backboard, then just reaches around to lay it in like it's nothing... man.

Once they figure out where his spots are and how to get him the ball, look out.

And Conklin still has a temper. I can see that being targeted even more this year. Got a tech last night after a second altercation -- first with Loughton, then Sobey.

Sobey seems to be getting under the skin of a few players this preseason, he got Lucas Walker all fired up last week. Good on him.

He seems to have a bit of punk about him for sure, plays with a chip on his shoulder. Has a really quick first step too

I think you'll find the second altercation was with Maynard, not Sobey

Yeah that's right. Sobey was caught up in something though.

Yep was Maynard.
Sobey likes to get amongst it as well, I like his attitude. Even if he doesn't get much court time I like the fact guys like him will be pushing the core roster at training.
