How do you rate the Imports after Round #1

After seeing everyone's imports apart from Melbournes injured guard Stephen Dennis in round #1 what are your thoughts?
Who'll be in the MVP discussion come the end of the season.

Josh Childress looks like the goods for Sydney as does the Taipan's well credentialed Guard Scotty Wilbekin who ran the Taipan's offence like a veteran. Cedric Jackson is definitely back for the Breakers and looks to be just as good as his last time here which of course resulted in a title and an MVP award.

McRae for United & Daniels for Perth look like they have potential with their length & athletism. Daniels second half against New Zealand was pretty impressive with a couple of highlights.

Pretty much agree with everything you said Mystro. The NBL is spoilt this year to have Wilbekin, Jackson and Childress. I was also impressed with Ervin, he exceeded my expectations this weekend. Carson, Craig, Daniels and McCrae did enough to show they will make an impact . Daniels second half was pretty awesome.

Was pretty disappointed with Gladness, Perry, Montreal. Hoping to see better performances from them in R2.

Beal had a shocker but will bounce back.

Top tier: Childress, Jackson and Wilbiken.
Solid: Wilson, Ibekwe, Daniels, Conklin, Ervin and Carson.
Mixed: Gladness, Craig and Montreal though Montreal was better today.
Shockers: Beal, McRae and Perry though I expect Beal and McRae to bounce back.

Childress is obviously right up there. I am impressed with Wilbekin (he needs a Wikipedia page) and Action Jackson showing everyone why the Breakers aren't broke.

If you have a look at the effectiveness points:

31 - Childress (31)
26.5 - Wilbekin (23, 30)
24 - Jackson (24)
16 - Ervin (20, 12)
16 - Daniels (16)
15.5 - Wilson (18, 13)
15 - Carson (15, 15)
14 - Craig (25, 3)
14 - Ibekwe (14)
13.5 - Conklin (13, 24)
8.5 - Montreal (3, 14)
8 - McRae (8)
7.5 - Gladness (12, 3)
1 - Beal (1)

Conklin should be much higher 24 + 13 does not equate to an average of 13.5 ;)
And you think that Perth fans can't handle words with more than a couple of syllables :P

Jackson, Childress and Wilbekin were the standouts.

Daniels, Wilson, Conklin, Ervin and Carson were pretty good.

Ibekwe was solid.

Gladness, Craig and Montreal had one good game and one not-so-good.

McRae, Beal and Perry had weekends they'd prefer to forget.

That's ok Paul. Someone agrees with me.
Can see an import getting MVP again.

Is there a youtube link for Daniel's driving dunk in the 2nd half? Got me well off my seat, which is difficult these days!

Think Jackson Childress and Wilbekin are the clear standouts.
Ervin, Carson, Conklin and Daniels are very good.
Ibekwe, Wilson, Gladness, Craig and Montreal are solid.
Beal, McRae and Perry were rubbish but think Beal and McRae will end up very good and Perry will be solid.
A very good year for imports!
