Dear Member

Rachel Jarry returns from FIBA World Cup injured

We are very disappointed to advise you that our star Rachel Jarry sustained another knee injury during her World Cup tournament. Since returning to Australia, Rachel has had scans on her knee and unfortunately there is damage that requires surgery.

Rachel will undergo this surgery over the next week and at this point it is unclear when she will be able to return. She is incredibly disappointed and any support you as members and fans can give her would be welcome, I am sure.

As we know, Rachel is hard to replace but we are currently searching available players that may be able to come into the team while Rachel is sidelined. We will keep you posted.

This news will be made public today.

If you haven't already done so, don’t forget to pick up your memberships from Sheahan’s Road, Bulleen before Friday night, otherwise we will see you at the door.

Yours sincerely

Guy Molloy

Sad for any athlete to get a season ending injury, but honestly don't know what the hype is about jarry, she was useless at worlds and that was before she was injured

Big blow for the Boomers, hopefully she is right to go in the WNBA after this setback.

To the anonymous, not sure what your on about but Jarry actually couldn't walk at world champs, she got injured in the Belarus game and was not able to walk
After that she was playing on one leg. Where else do you think she got injured on the plane trip back lol?

Rumour going around that Kayla Standish is being looked at to replace Jarry.
