Bullets Management Team

Looks like Big Joe Tertzakian could be about to be named as the GM/CEO/Whatever title he wants for the revamped Brisbane Bullets who will by all accounts be re-entering the NBL from next season.

No doubt the fine job he has done promoting the sport at QBL level and with the recent Blitz has been noticed and he has been brought on board to hopefully steer the Bullets ship back to its former glory. Would be a fair bet also to think that one of the young guys from the Blaze will be joining him in a marketing/media role after proving himself recently with Dick Johnson Racing and the QRL.

Excellent appointments if true and will bring a good knowledge base on running a basketball team, a seriously good network of contacts and a genuine passion for the game.

He has just been team manager Anon, it is definitely not his fault for other teams. Anyway he has done great work with the Blitz and the Brisbane Capitals and he has been flying to visit other NBL clubs recently which will help with experience.

So excited for the new Brisbane team, hope is it Bullets.

Don't refer to him as 'that big fat bloke' please. It is both rude and insulting to him. On a side note Joe has lost a huge amount of weight in the past year.

Joe has lost approx 100 kgs I believe and the fact he has the eoI means nothing.

There isn't any links but Joe posted today a picture of the front of a business plain which was 100% for the new team.

Also another facebook page says that an ownership group may be announced this week which may mean it might not be 100% NBL owned like some people mentioned.

Which Facebook page?

His FB page. Its either the non disclosure agreement for the EOI, or the same for the licence.
Either way its a bit of a joke I would imagine for those that have had to apply and go through all the hoops ;)
The NBL is a law unto itself and it appears even more so after the Childress verdict.

From what I understand, a 'management' group is set to be announced. I'd say this means Brisbane will be league-owned with the reins given to locals at least until such time the entity is purchased by others.

As for Joe, easy target for some due to his stature. If he gets any nod for Brisbane, he certainly has the gumption and nous to make a good go of it, few people better to have involved.

Joe is seen to be neutral among the associations in Brisbane, he is based at BBI but is a product of Southern Districts.

Someone who is not aligned to either of those groups will have a much better chance a pulling the deal together and getting broad based support across all of Brisbane.

A group run by either BBI or Spartans will not get up.
