Basketball Ankle Braces Support Stabilisers

Hi all,

I'm just coming off an ankle sprain and was looking for some ankle bracessupport for basketball.
Does anyone use the ASO braces?
Im looking at the ASO braces with plastic inserts or the ASO EVO.

Does anyone have any advice on these two models? Which is better of the two?

Thanks for your help.

Never tried them.
Victor ankle supports are the most recommended.

I have used ASO for years without the plastic inserts - never did an ankle in them - always when I don't wear them (I'm getting old)!

My boys have used ASO braces for years, no plastic insert. It may have prevented serious strains but won't prevent injury, nothing will. Best advice I can offer is strengthen your ankles with physio approved exercises like using a wobble board etc...

Good luck, and don't rush back before it heals!

Same my kids always used them and still now they are adults. The aso without plastic they preferred as thr plastic would rub.but wobble board is essential to keep your ankles strong.

I use ASO never had a problem. Take out the plastic inserts though, those things just rub against the tip of your ankle.

My boys have used ASO EVO for years.

I'm sure it has protected one of them from a broken ankle. Still received a severe sprain, but without the ASO's could have broken something.

Thanks for the advice. I checked out some reviews and the ASO EVO came out pretty good. Just put in an order for those.

Always used McDavid. Good as ASO. Buy from Eastbay. Cheap as!

Yeah I bought my McDavids from http://www.bodyheal.com.au/. Not as cheap as Eastbay but with the weak dollar and shipping it's not too bad.
