I thought I'd heard it all in basketball, but this takes the cake. Frankston are charging their own teams $200 per day to hire their BBQ to fund raise! The same BBQ that the kids fees have paid for over the years. Bizarre!

A few years ago I was involved in obtaining a BBQ for a basketball representative program to use for this purpose and whatever functions people needed it for.
It is still being used today, I think we were happy just to get the gas re-filled.
It's hard enough to make a buck selling sausages these days, IMHO and on the face of it $200.00 a day may be a touch excessive...

You would have to sell 100 sausages @ $2.50 each to break even!!!

Go to Bunnings and buy a new one for $195.00 and keep it for future Fundraisers.
Is that the fee to use the BBQ or the fee to set up out the front of their stadium? Either way it seems quite steep.

Disgraceful, should maybe charge a bit for gas if bottle not returned full but come on if its members for team fundraising its a BLOODY joke.
Supply and demand, competitive market. Just hire one elsewhere.
