Hawks vs Crocs, Nov 28

Hawks finally broke their losing streak, taking down the Crocs at home 90-76. Wollongong shifted Martin to the starting group - putting Ervin to the bench.

Coenraad 24, Ervin 14, Forman 13, Carson 10
Conklin with 17 was the only Croc to hit double figures

Good news for the Hawks wins will be few and far between, important to win a few at home.

The best news was for Nat, who had sworn off alcohol until the Hawks won. I imagine he is still sleeping it off

Good effort from Wollongong. Coenraad had one of the better games I've seen him play.

Pathetic showing from Townsville. I could tell that game was over shortly after tip off. Waaaay too many turnovers against a not-great defensive team.

Can't expect the public to get behind your team with showings like that.

Crocs played much tougher todsy and still fell short. Should beat a out of sorts Adl though IF they play like they did against Cairns.

Question: Do you put that loss down to players or the coach?

When this team is consistently having brainfarts and slow starts, at some point it has to come back to the coach.

Having such limited use of Markovic is hurting them. They're 2-1 when he plays > 20mins and 2-6 when he doesn't. Perhaps with slow starts being an issue it's time to use him early on?
