Who is favourite to win ASC?

Just wondering who you think could win ASC? Some very close games so far in Championship Men?

You would think Lake G would win but I guess it won't be happening this year.

The only SA team in championship boys, Sacred Heart, went 2nd in their pool and play 3rd in other pool to hopefully go top 4.

Looking at the fields for the mens championship you see the following;

St Francis Xavier- Newcastle, NSW
Willeton Senior High School, WA
Hellyer College Boys, TAS
Lake Ginnindera, ACT
St Augustine's, NSW
St James College, QLD
Sydney Boys High, NSW
Haileybury College, VIC
China National Team
Sacred Heart, SA

Can someone please tell me why NSW consistently have 2 or 3 teams in the top division when other states aren't provided this opportunity.

Although Haileybury have been weak this year (school US trip travelling at the same time) there are surely some Vic school teams that would be super competitive in this division.

Why the NSW monopoly???

It is not taken seriously by the best VIC schools, the comp is run at the wrong time of year to attract the best as they will have other priorities. (not that Haileybury is one of these!)

No one takes it seriously. It is a "participation/fun" tournament.

Well done Sacred Heart! Through to GF.

Qualified against ALL the schools in SA and now have beaten the best schools in the country to make it through to the Grand Final....

What a great achievement to rise through this pathway with your schoolmates.

Sacred Heart regaining its mantle as the dominant school program in South Australian basketball, taking over the reigns from Concordia.
