NZ Junior Tall Blacks VS Australian Emus

Fiba Oceania U19 Championship final tomorrow night.

Kiwis look to have the advantage up front. Can't see froling handing with Wynyard and Timmons..

Should be a close one!

Don't you mean to say Froling and Hunter v Wynyard and Timmons?

Maybe both the men's and women's finals will be close, they are usually at junior international level, look forward to the live feed...

4.00pm for Women
7.00pm for Men

Only caught the last couple of minutes. Incredibly soft fouls being called at both ends. Great shot by Vasiljelvic to win it for the Emus.

Hey Naph, where did you watch it, online?
I guess it will be posted on youtube soon...

Looks to have been a cracker! D.J. may have won it at the end but Tanner Krebs was great when it counted from what I could make out on Livestats but would love to see the actual game!

FIBA had a live stream going on YouTube. I literally only found it with 2:30 to go in the 4th quarter.

Big relief..... Was expecting overtime. Dj what a shot!

Nz have some nice prospects for the future. There front court Imparticular.
Adams, loe, fotu, pledger in the now and coming through salt, Wynyard, Timmons, freeman and the like.

The women's game was like a water park. Slipn and sliden all over the place.
Stand out was smith with everyone else making a descent contribution.

U 19 worlds only 6-7months away. I Think the max age is born after June 1995 or something or is it start of 96?

Do you have to be born in 96? I think wehrung, brown and Collins were born late 95 which would mean they turn 20 after the tournament which is in July russia. So your saying if you turn 20 the year of the tournament your not eligible to play.

If it is 96 and younger. Simple.

Wallace/antoniadou
Tupaea/Sharp/Seaton
maley/k.froling
Smith/a.froling/hellessey
Scherf/Fareo

NZ blew that one.. where were the refs from?

Timmins is a baller.. How big is he? Must be close to 7ft?? I way ahead of Pledger at the same age, I would imagine he will get div 1 offers?

Bright future for the tall blacks for sure...

Need to develop a better back court though.

Freeman/Leafa/Bezzant/Colenutt/giddy/gleave/brooks/green have done well.

Put a few of those guys Along with...
6'6 Te rangi/6'7 ngatai/6'7 Bailey
6'11 Loe/6'8 fotu/6'9+ Wynyard
7'0 Adams/6'11+ salt/6'10+ Timmins

Aussies... Rio.

Mills/dellavedova/exum
Broekhoff/Goulding
Ingles/Newley/Simmons
Bairstow/motum
Bogut/baynes

Not much to question, accept maybe starting 5.

Phillips/Mitchell
Ohea/Allen
Taylor/jarry/Talbot or kunek (1 of)
Jackson/Francis/burton or bishop (1 of)
Cambage/tolo

I think Joyce will go defensive which means Talbot and burton. He's already said bishop is to small for that position in the international game and her only real shot is the 3 spot.Strange when she's killing it in the wnbl.... Kunek hasn't been her best of late but can play both the 2 and 3 and can pretty much do it all. Talbot brings a lot of hustle and great defence along with some descent points and rebounds. I think madgen is a possibility also, She's playing the 1 now at melbourne and would be a nice 3rd string pg or extra Sg. Also brings hustle. If not, I'm sure Ohea or Taylor can bring the ball up on occasion. She might even replace Mitchell opening up another roster spot?
