VJBL Results

Around 30% of the results from last night still not up on their website. In this age of technology, is it wrong to expect every result to be up by about 11.30 Friday night?

Just like the standard of officiating, if you don't expect something you will not be disappointed.

When you consider that the VJBL are relying on about 40 different venues inputting results via wifi, mobile broadband etc or even via mobile phones there are plenty of circumstances where it's impossible to load results on a Friday.

This is especially so for example where games are played at school halls etc.

To get 70% of results up on a Friday considering the logistics of such a massive competition is actually not a bad effort.

Post 795 you make an interesting point however .... I went through all the XX and AA rounds (couldn't be bothered doing the rest) and 67% of the results are up (37 missing from 112). Of those missing 59% are from Hawthorn, Bulleen (the worst offender), Nunawading, Eltham and Knox so that sort of blows your argument of school hall issues out of the water.

This is 2015 not 1995, start fining clubs and you will bet that within a week all results will be up by 11.30. I can't accept the wifi, mobile broadband, mobile phone argument, it doesn't wash anymore.

I agree, we should fine Associations $100.00 for each entry not loaded online by the end of the night. Wait, then they will charge us $5.00 entry to watch our kids play! Maybe on second thoughts............

Not only does it have significant interest, games in grading phase two have significant effect on the final structure of the various pools. 513886, instead of showing your ignorance and trying to be a smart alec, how about you just don't post anything.

Pool XX are essentially practice games, but AA and below are qualifying games and quite important in the scheme things and standings for the competition.

From what I understand pool XX results determine the final positions in the Ash and Watson pools, so the results actually do have a bearing and they are not solely practice matches.

Anon^ you are probably correct in some regards, the VC pools will need some kind of even split, not all the winning teams in the same pool. I know for a fact that some pool XX teams mix it up and use the games as a practice while other teams go all out to win, but your point is valid!
