It would be great to get Tracey, but hasnt she got a job oversea's?? Who ever gets the job will need to fill some very big shoes and put up with all the country politics that go with it.

Dean Kinsmen (SA Country Development Officer) got the AIS Head Womens Coach position starting August 1.

SA Country are currently interviewing people for his old position. Word is... they received quite a number of quality applications, and have a short-list of people to be interviewed (when dean gets back).

Seebohm would be a contender for sure and would be hard to beat.

Big shoes to fill though

it is going to be a tough role to fill.

Those in the Country would need to move to the big smoke, and give up their current basketball committments.

Perhaps it will be a city slicker?

Dean was...

Come on Dr Dunk dont be a hold out put some names down of the "quality" applicants. In the Job specs I hope they included. Forget having a partner, or seeing your own kids, expect to spend 200 days a year on the road, have the ability to become invisible when you see parents approaching, and happy getting paid peanuts. After the great job Dean did , I hope we dont get a monkey.

Sorry that would have to be a rumour!!!! I dont think Matt would be interested. Not enough qualifications and too much sense to put up with the crap and kicks in the guts that goes with coaching in SA Country. Also has just got a job back underground at Roxby and is travelling back to Pirie on 4 days off.

I went for the job, when do you suspect we will hear anything, or have they contacted the short list and I didn't make it.

Have to agree with

Pay and conditions poor, like most basketball development jobs, or should I say basketball jobs in general.

Pity as critics expect so much but don't want the right $$ spent to attract the bulk of the best people. The good ones who do only stay for a short time.
