The 'old Boomers' would get past the young Boomers, just because of the bench, but not by much.

The young Boomers couldn't handle Ricky G especially, and Sam McKinnon is going past Ingles/Simmons & Co anytime he wants.

Be a good game to watch.

Maybe wait until team 2 retires, so we can all dwell on how good they were in the past before we decide.

All of them get better with age, don't they...?

From memory;

Gaze was an excellent defender against any player from the 1-4 spot.

Heal had a special ability to make the extra pass.

Longley's post game was up there with Hakeem Olajuwon's.

Bradtke just didn't miss at the free throw line.

Mackinnon just didn't miss from 3pt range and had handles like kyrie irving.

Grace was awesome on his right hand.

Rogers was excellent at being handsome.

Anstey just couldn't be rattled.

I can't see how this team could be beat by anyone.

I don't know much about Sam McKinnon. Wish I saw/followed him at his prime as by all accounts he was something special.

Just came across some Fox Sports stats - man his FT % was horrific though. So weird for such a good 3 point shooter.

It would be a barn burner. Team 1 has better shooters, team 2 arguably plays better defence. I give it to team 1 by 5 or 6 points, but in a series it would be very close.

Interesting post this, made me remember just how good Sam McKinnon was until the knee injury, and how hard he worked to modify his game afterwards.

A truly great athlete.
