where were the umpires at Hillcrest?

I was watching div 1 Mens youth league last night at Hillcrest and was very sad to see that only 1 umpire was provided. Also there was only 1 ump on the second court as well. Has BSA stretched it's pool of umpires so thin by playing the reserves competition on the same night as Youth league that they can't find enough refs?
Although the chap did the best he could to run and control the game, there is no way 1 ref is able to see all that goes on. All that does if frustrate players and coaches, evident by the number of tech fouls awarded in the game, I guess the only way the ref could stamp/assert his authority. Very disappointing for all concerned.

as a youth league player, some of the umpires are that bad... having 1 umpire can be as bad as having 2

The umpire was terrible, kept threatening players over trivial things and said at least 6 times that he was walking out and the game would be called off. The game was never out of control until the last couple of minutes when he put the whistle away and a few guys got frustrated.
