I think we can sellout Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on August 16th this year with the Australian Boomers V New Zealand Tall Blacks.

With 7 NBA Players.

Australian Boomers:

Matthew Dellavedova NBA Cleveland Cavaliers
Patty Mills NBA San Antonio Spurs
Andrew Bogut NBA Golden State Warriors
Aron Baynes NBA San Antonio Spurs
Dante Exum NBA Utah Jazz
Cameron Bairstow NBA Chicago Bulls

New Zealand Tall Blacks:

Steven Adams NBA Oklahoma City Thunder

Let's hope this is on Television for interstate fans

As if they will televise this, BA need a better marketing person to ensure basketball is shown as a great sport to watch, it needs prime time TV but it won't get it.

With ALL of those NBA players, there is a chance of live TV coverage I would have thought.

They're probably in talks with all the networks. Just need to get a deal over the line. It deserves to be on TV. Lets hope a network is paying attention as this could be quite a big event if they realise it.

I haven't really been following the Boomers TV deal very closely, but weren't they tied to the ABC or has that ended?

If they get all of those players it will be a sell out, therefore should be on TV also, even half of that list should attract a full house I would expect!

They wanted a deal with 7 because it's the Olympic network.

7 could do worse than try it on prime time on 7mate as the precursor to their Olympics

Now just make the prices affordable so you max out the stadium.

Flinders80 - what price would you consider reasonable for a near full strength Boomers team at Rod Laver Arena for general admission? (adult, child & family - 2a,2c)

Opals & Boomers double-header on 15 August in Melbourne - likely to be at Rod Laver Arena.
