He's better off where he is for his sake and for the NBLs.

Wouldn't have been a good look United folding and there then being no team in Melbourne so everybody wins.

Closer to the Anstey resigned kind of true.

Everyone makes nice in the press, reputations and credibility remain intact, business as usual.

When the talks occurred Goorj was then 2nd banana and then out of a job. No reason to disbelieve what he has said. I know one he he will not miss is the politics of the NBL and with a faltering league as he said, he was luck all the stars aligned and now he's in charge of the best CBA program there is and getting more than previously.

The league isn't faltering that badly to the point of not taking a job here because of the NBL's 'wobbly' state. I think he would have come back to Melbourne if a better China offer didn't happen.

Even if Townsville and Wollongong fall over eventually, the NBL will still be here, United will be one of the richer clubs and Goorjian wouldnt have a problem with his career.

Its only shaky if the whole league falls over. Until that happens, I'm staying optimistic!

Goorjian point the nbl is in a wobbling state is correct but let the truth be told.. The GM Vince is the reason why he didnt sign with United and for that reason Mark Worthington agent has been in contact with a couple nbl teams offering his services wanting to leave United.

It seems he wants to leave a sinking ship.
