Mornington Peninsula

Sth Pen, Frankston, Steelers and Breakers all having their issues (as do all clubs at times). Frankston seem to have the least issues in their junior program (mostly senior issues); Breakers are doing some weird things and considering nothing was really broke that seems a little strange (if the direction I hear they are going is true I would feel like a lab rat), Steelers still lack junior coaching depth/talent and Sth Pen seem to be focused on only a few teams upsetting a lot of people leaving Franga as the Steven Bradbury. Why so many issues in such a small area? The first club to get their ducks in a row may clean up on the Peninsula.

Breakers financially strong but lack basketball expertise,Westernport problems with financial reporting and too many on the gravy train,Sth Pen quite stable after an era of heavy spending.Frankston are like a duck, feet are going a million miles an hour but going nowhere.

Frankston was the strongest club on the Peninsula up until a few years ago. What's happened down there??

Have said before. Will say again.
Merge the 3 Peninsula teams (Not Frankston).
One strong entity. Better for Peninsula Basketball.

Frankston Juniors could be heading for some change as well. Dropped off the pace in recent years. Still have the other Peninsula clubs covered.

Frankston has the size of domestic etc so they will be bigger by default.

Similar to the crowing you hear coming out of Casey for the amazing work they have done in growing the association. You are in one of if not the largest growth corridor in Australia - The resukt is growth by default. Great work in getting there but taking all the credit for it is a bit much.

The issue for the south east region is it has a growing population but a shortage of sporting facilities.Casey and Cardinia would be the exception as they plan 5-10 years in advance.Same cant be said for Frankston and Mornington Peninsula Shires.

It won't start as they don't have funding.Maybe in 12 months time at the next state budget they may get lucky. All the rest is just spin...

They are not even at the drawing stage. Still no money, so at least 3-4 years from turning the first sod, if at all.

We need to get PUD on here to comment. That always draws a strong response from inside the Frankstonian Camp!

Haven't heard from PUD for a while. He usually has his nose in the trough.Maybe he went in disguise to the AGM....

As a Frankston parent that was at the AGM, I don't believe the management have neither the money, nor the expertise to pull together the funding for any project.
