Any rumours on the Wildcats 10th spot?

The 10th spot isn't usually a big deal, however by my calcs, after signing Greenwood, they have 8 points available which could net them a decent player (if they can squeeze him under the salary cap.)

Also, with Greenwood as yet unproven at a senior level, and our dearth of 3-point ability, this 4th Guard spot could be very important.

Can't really see them looking to spend all 8 points. I imagine who ever they sign will be play very minimal minutes behind Beal, Greenwood and Martin.

I would like to see them go for a 3 point specialist, similar to when they had Erik Burdon.

Its a shame they couldn't fit another Forward in.... Cody Ellis would of looked great in a Cats uniform

It's a bench role for sure, but even with their lacklustre bench last season, they at times ran 3 guards. Plus you go to your bench first when looking for injury replacements.
Greenwood is unproven at senior level, and they could really do with boosting their 3-point shooting.
(Especially if Damo doesn't regain his shooting mojo.)

I'd still love James Harvey or Peter Crawford to be given that role... Someone that can light it up for a 10-15 point quarter if given opportunity.

Not sure the status of either

Ellis would be great too

On Ten News in Perth the other night they said Beal had until July 1 to let the club know if he would take up the remaining year on his contract, which he did (despite apparent offers from overseas). So with that locked away the talk of Lisch coming back or Beal being cut appear over.

I'd love to see Harvey back in Perth. Is he playing SEABL or anything since departing the kings ?

Is there any chance that Bevo might be looking to sign up some of the WA kids the Wildcats seem happy to overlook (Field, Purser, Iliadis)?
