Joseph has penned a $30 million 4 year deal at the raptors. Not bad for a 3rd string point guard who has spent time in d-league in a guard heavy league. Does this mean the main man Patty Mills is getting underpaid?

Joseph: 6.8 PPG in 18.3 MPG (50% FG, 46%+ in last three seasons)
Mills: 6.9 PPG in 15.7 MPG (38% FG, down from previous years)
Joseph tops him in boards and assists.
Mills has a few more years on the clock too (26 vs 23).
Might've been a factor of getting Joseph back to Canada and assuming a bigger role for him. Bit more defence? Does seem like an overpay though.
Landscape is changing since Mills' last contract was signed. Not many steals bar Casspi at the Kings going cheap.

Hate to say it but all these Spurs guys (including Baynes) will look silly out of Pop's system. Very overpayed. They will all miss the Spurs culture & big 3!!
Makes for a great NBA season though.

Next year's salary cap increase means anyone willing to sign long term is getting paid! Next year all these 4/5 year contracts are going to look like good deals for franchises
No one saying Delly deserves the same type of contract, did GWB die?
Also think Mills getting that injury at the wrong time cost him some cash.
