Melbourne United Re-Sign Chris Patton

The 208cm back up centre has re-signed on for the 2015/16 season. Quote from Melb United email:

"During the off-season, Patton has also been putting up impressive numbers for the Dandenong Rangers in the SEABL, averaging 16.9 ppg and 7.1 rebounds with a season-high 26 points and 11 rebounds against North West Tasmania"

I like the continuity for a player that went from a Development Role to an active roster spot to be re-signed for this season. They could have easily gone with returning college centres or other SEABL centres.

He was pretty solid (literally) last season, a smart re-signing in what's a pretty thin front court at this stage. They're next couple of signings up front are going to be important, they need someone who can play around Kickert's strengths and weaknesses, and I think missing out on Conklin hurt in that regard at the offensive end.

Good signing. Just need a tough centre inside now.
