Not impressed. Looks like another Spenceley call rather than something Bevo would do.
Hawks are fine in the 5 spot and Maric would only overload them at the 5 making them less mobile and versatile.
If they did not have AJ he would fit but AJ is a far more mobile big and that historically is what has succeeded in the NBL.
Rather an athletic role paying 4 who could run the floor, defend and board without needing to do any more offensively than stick back his offensive boards and hit open shots around the bucket.
Hope Boti is wrong this time.

Yeah, Maric is a very solid player, but a Maric and Ogilvy together? Not a very NBL-esque lineup... reminds me of what the Tigers tried to do a few years ago, failing miserably.

My first thought too Angush. If they had a mobile starting PF I could understand it, but Maric, Ogilvy, Davidson and Forman is a very immobile frontline.
Amazing off season for the Hawks. Bevo is real good

I reckon they'll go for Brad Waldow from St. Mary's if Maric falls through.
He must have a huge dartboard at his house,& he still misses!
