Meet Makur Maker. 14 year-old cousin of Thon Maker

Makur MakerĀ is just 14-years old and already stands at an imposing 6'11. Coming out of Perth, Western Australia, Maker has enrolledĀ at West Hills Chaminade in Los Angeles, California, starting his freshman year this coming season.

Will he be as good as Thon Maker?

6'11 at 14 seems hard to believe. Unless his like 16-17 already?
If he's truely 14, then he'll end up being taller than thons 7'0-7'1.

Good luck to the kid.
Maybe next u17 2018?

The last two posts belong in the negative thread. Or was this just a test to see if it would work?

Sudanese are tall, what's wrong with people?

It seems that when ever a kid is ta for his age, some people assume the kid most e older.

Todd this is more to do with the question marks around his older brothers age....and 6'11 at 14 is massive!

Isaac Humphries would have been close to that height at that age? So it is possible

Growth calculator predicts he will be 7'2-7'3 at 18.
Interesting..

Gaining weight will be a huge problem.
Thon still lean after years of training and eating big.
Got man handled at world summit.

No surprise that this thread will attract idiots questioning his age.

Some people are so silly. The first person saying Thon isn't even that good, you must be high. Since he has been in America he has put on nearly 20KG so there you go. Hopefully this kid is just like him

Also ranked number 1 high school prospect in Canada. What he does in underage ball is irrelevant as is his age. It's what he achieves from now on that we will judge him on. Why would a player with his projected ceiling lie about his age to get an advantage in kids ball. It would only be wasting prime career years?

These Sudanese are so atheletic and skillful.

In 5 or 6 years time, the boomers will have

Probably 5 or 6 Sudaneses in the side, which is great to see - Thon maker, Matur maker, Adel, Mading , Deng Gak, Bol Bak.

#586 I don't think anyone's suggesting that he himself is lying about his age. Often the Sudanese birthdays are made up because they don't record them at birth, so they get given one when they get processed at the first country they end up in as refugees. Often it's the 1st of the 1st, and a guessed year.

These kids are not australian, they will have spent less time in this country than in any other, how can australia lay claim to them. Come on its not a racist comment either it's nothing to do with colour of skin, surely these kids who have come from Sudan, and are finding better options to further themselves in the field of basketball in other countries will and can change their nationality status at the drop of a hat, they have no ties or loyalty to australia, Australia was just a means to an end to get them out of Sudan.
How about you let these kids just play and enjoy life and give a bit more support to those who can't change their nationality , they are stuck being Aussies.

It think that potential Aussie/Sudanese team would be pretty good at offence. Not sure how they would go stopping their oppostion from scoring, but still it would be fun to watch I guess! Maybe we can get them to start an Aussie/Sudanese Globetrotters tour after they retire?
