Your tips for NBL 2015/16 Round 1?

Round 1 just around the corner and it's going to be interesting. Who is everyone tipping?

I am going with:

36ers by 18 vs Breakers
Taipans by 3 vs Hawks
United by 25 vs United
Kings by 6 vs Taipans
Wildcats by 4 vs 36ers
Breakers by 14 vs Crocodiles
United by 8 vs Hawks

Interesting that everyone (so far) is picking the Wildcats against 36ers despite it being in Adelaide...what are your reasons for that, just think Perth is the better team?

@Tornado, Not sure they are the 'better team' especially with the (rumoured) injury to Martin. The 36ers will have already played a game and the difference between the teams is minute. True the 36ers are at home, but I think fatigue might get to them at the end of the game and the Wildcats big men will run all over them.

Not sure though, going to be close to the game of the round, probably just behind the Hawks vs United on Sunday afternoon.

@Scott, I figured that might be the reasoning but to counter that - the Sixers will have already played (at home so travel and recovery wont/shouldnt be a factor, especially as they are playing on a Wed) so they will likely have blown out any cobwebs in game 1 and be more in sync with each other than Perth.

Always hard to pick early rounds though... :)

@Tornado, you're right on one count. They don't have to travel and there aren't many better ways than to start the season with two straight games at home...

Still, I just think the Wildcats might have the edge. Going to be a top game!

The Sixers need to win this first game vs Breakers without Webster. Crucial game. It also takes the pressure off for the Perth game if they win it. They drop the first pressures on for Perth.

6ers should win this first game in a canter I would imagine.

"6ers should win this first game in a canter I would imagine."

NZ are still likely to suit up the following.

Ced Jackson/Shane McDonald
Rueben TeRangi/Everard Bartlett
Tom Abercrombie/Duane Bailey
Mika Vukona/Tai Wesley
Alex Pledger/Charles Jackson

Has everyone forgotten how good Cedric Jackson is?
