SA junior draw after round 5

will any changes occur ?

some early results so one sided.

IMO teams that have not won a game and % less than 33 (= scoring less than a third of their opponents)should be considered to move down a grade.

teams that have 200% or more should be considered to move up.

when will the clubs realize that placing juniors in grades where they get thrashed (i.e. not just losing but hopelessly unable to cope) will result in them leaving the sport than getting some more encouraging results in lower grades and keeping them interested.

i think it would be harsh for west to put their div 1 side in div 6 (little joke sorry west)

But on a more serious note... why haven't fixtures been released for after week 5? div 1 and 2 don't have teams moving around... why arent their schedules out??

can their seriously be a new league that starts up? with organisation, with path ways to higher level player? PLEASE??

Please get the rest of the draws up for div 1 & 2. Some people have got to plan for Christmas drinks and parties. Who gets designated driver for starplex and morphett vale on friday nights?

Going by some results in U10 & U12 girls comps there will be some current Div 1 teams moving down to Div 2.

There has been some huge blow out games and you can't have that.

fantastic ..pick one grade and use that to tar a whole Club

there would be examples from EVERY Club where they are struggling...Div 1, 2, 3 or 4

Just a cheap troll shot

out of West's boys program only the U10 boys div 1 and 12s 1s have winning records, sure there are some that are 2-2 but alot of them are 0-4
if you combine all 9 teams from boys U14s and 16s they have a total of 5 wins. 5 wins out of 36 games so far this season.

in west defence, it is a long season so things might pick up
but out of every boys team they only have 2 winnings sides at the moment (didnt look at the girls i dont have that much time)

In the first 4 rounds so far some teams have played only against one of the top 5 teams in the competition while the top 5 teams have only played a maximum of two games against top clubs.

Eg in 18s boys D1 the top 5 teams are Centrals, Mavericks, Sturt, Forestville, Norwood (and rightly so they all have SAC and SAM and AUS players and some are beasts). So far these clubs have only played another team in the top 5 a maximum of twice (eg Sturt have played Forestville and Centrals). The draw has not been kind to some teams (eg Souths have played Norwood, Forestville, Centrals and Sturt and are 0 and 4). Given that the comp is 13 rounds that will mean that Souths will have played 9 of their games against top 5 teams.

Compare this to the top 5 teams that will only have played another top 5 team 6 times for Sturt, Centrals, Mavericks and Forestville or 5 times for Norwood. In fact other teams in the competition will only play a top 5 team a maximum of 6 times in the season.

This is just an artefact of the 13 round competition. I am sure there are other examples in the mix and in different age groups there are different club rankings. Even so the summer season is silly season.

quite a legit point anon.

most people that study the form of teams always factor in level of opponents

Had a chuckle at the U16 girls. Seems to have gotten a bit messy in Divs 2 and 3s.
There were 3 or so changes to teams in the space of a day?

Sturt 2 up to Div 2
Magic seems to have withdrawn from Div 3
West bearcats promoted to Div 3, but they had a worse record than other teams in div 4?
Might have been another team move in there but can't work it out.

Only caught my attention as amended results with team moves has lead to the results of round 5 looking like:

West 31 vs north 28
eagles bye
norwood bye
south bye

More byes than games....Brilliant!
