These comments sail very close to team owners maintaining a monopoly in-spite of what is good for the league as a whole.

If a group has the finances and infrastructure then the naked self interest of another club should not be a factor.

There has been far more of a demonstration of a firm foundation in Wellington then there has been for any possible growth or partnership opportunities in Asia beyond NBL executives talking points.

The only "compelling business case" should be - is the finance and supporter base viable.

I don't think the product is stable / good enough to go into Asia to be honest.

Let's concentrate locally another couple of years, then chase the Asian money.

Either that or make NBL Live subscription cheaper for Asian countries. Market it that way over there, get exposure first.
