United vs Taipans, Jan 15

Cairns got thumped at home earlier this round and will be up against it trying to get revenge on the road.

At 9-12, the Taipans have three more losses than either Adelaide (5th) or NZ (4th). We're going to hear "must win" for a while yet.

Meanwhile, Melbourne have a mini buffer at the top of the ladder now and are on a four game winning streak. Whether they'll be complacent or purposeful remains to be seen.

Your tip?

A fact I found interesting, Melbourne have only beaten the bottom three on the road, but they've only lost to the bottom two at home. Does the pattern get completed tonight?

75-44 at 3/4 time. Cairns nothing to play for but seriously... A bit of effort would be good. An 8 team comp that covers the country shows that there is little transition from a huge junior based sport to clubs being able to find enough decent players in the country to fill the roster.
I don't know what the answer is but dishing up this sort of crap on a regular basis is disappointing to say the least

That was the Warrick and Goulding show

Both were unstoppable. Great to see Warricks no look pass to Goulding for the three from he car park, and Goulding hitting Warrick for those two huuuuuge massive dunks.

The big question is- can United keep their confidence away from home? You could not pick a harder run home if you tried, so now is the time we'll find out

Gliddon is the captain isn't he?

IMO not a leader..he is still too inexperienced and too quiet. Just doesn't seem to have leadership qualities.

Loughton is Cairns problem. He just can't play at the level required and for the minutes he gets. Fearn is sometimes living in the past, hoping Alex will do something good.
