36ers Lame Excuses

Just saw a ridiculous post on Facebook by the 36ers saying no disrespect to other players but look at voting compared to how many games played.

Basically implying Randle on lost because of that, maybe Lisch was just better. Maybe if Randle played out the last game instead of undisciplined fouls ??

This is not about Randle, it is about the clubs pathetic attempt to cash in some hype and degrade a very worthy winner.

No different to blaming Melb for 36ers not making finals, maybe instead of blaming Melb for resting (which finishing top allows you ) maybe not winning enough games cost them finlas.

The organisation embarrasses the team and its sponsors and members when it comes up with this crap.

Randle couldn't guard a chair/end of discussion

Agree it was probably unnecessary as a full post rather than a comment elsewhere, but it's fair to note that Randle would've been in with a stronger shot had he played the same number of games.

Lisch played 2 more games and had 11 more votes.

Agree but that is sport, Randle was deemed good enough to be selected at start of season so was lucky to come in late not unlucky to come in late.

Just don't agree with lame excuses for not winning, pointing it out achieves nothing Lisch is still MVP and Randle is not.

Just don't like how it looks form a club perspective, first finals then this but no one mentions blowing a 15 point lead in Townsville with 4 min to go etc

I think Lisch and Jackson are both better point guards. Both Randle and the team looked better when he was looking to create first.

1) Lisch didn't play 28 games either. Imagine if Randle played more games, imagine if Lisch played more games, imagine if the league was bigger, imagine if there were more games, imagine if the 36ers played all their games at home.

2) The most classy response would have been to congratulate Lisch, or failing that...
3) Say nothing at all

4) The team shouldn't act like an idiot teenager whose parents have gone away for the weekend entrusting the house to him and he's drunk in his backyard with his mates and arguing with someone about who is the better between Kevin Durant and LeBron James, never failing to realise that the person arguing for Durant is a big Thunder fan and the player arguing for LeBron is a big Cavs fan, even though he was a Heat fan a few years back but nobody likes to mention that anymore because of the unnecessarily aggressive reaction you get when you point it out when he's been drinking.

Randle is a below average defender but name one player in the NBL who could shut him down in offense

Agreed that the FB post lacked class.

At first I thought the Sixers gave Mitch Creek keys the the Sixer SM again, but the post though classless was cleverly disguised, which rules out Mitch as the author.

It is a rather stupid post.
There are always arguments over such awards, that's part of the reason they have them.
The correct statement from every club is simply "Congratulations Kevin." Period.

The joke of it is, that had Randle won, it would have been a victory for the voting system, and that is the only basis on which anyone seriously suggested he could win. Lisch is clearly the better player, but many suggested that the voting would cause Ogilvy and Penney to rob him of votes.
