Odigie has been in the league a number of years and yes if you are a commentator I would expect you to know how to say it.

That has two D sounds in the first two syllables.

Cameron Tragardh has been in the league for years and almost everyone insists the D is silent. It isn't.

Melbourne's Twitter account confirms it's pronounced Od-ig-i-ee.

The SKY ticker was on the fritz.

To the casual viewer reading the description it read as if it were Game 2 of the Final, not semi.

Also it would update stats like rebounds, assists but not points? amateur.

A simple asking how to pronounce Owen's or even Goilding's name during shoot around should be sufficient.

NZ commentators could most definitely be more biased than what they are... Only criticism is games seem more fun to them when NZ are winning and unless your a journeyman like Hammwr or D-Ruck then it would be hard not to show some bias.

I hope for everyone's sake the NBL gets a grand final series going to three games as it isn't doing the league, foxtel or the sponsors any good having only two game series... Last season 3 series went 6 games!

I might be in the minority but I quite enjoy the NZ commentary team. Much more than Dwayne Russell and Tommy Greer pumping up Chris Goulding as though he is the 2nd coming of Steph Curry

They started the game pronouncing it correctly. Only reason it changed was a bunch of idiots jumped on Twitter to tell them they were wrong, even though they weren't.
