I found this and thought people maybe interested to have a look, leading up to the Olympic Games.
Bear in mind, Australia were missing Gaze, Heal and Bradtke in this series.
Soon after, we went onto finish 4th at the Atlanta Olympics, going down by just 6 points to Lithuania in the Bronze Medal game.

I went to this and it was great to see Magic Johnson play live after his first retirement and before his NBA comeback.
From memory guys like Mark Aguirre and John Long were playing for his team too but it was a mickey mouse version of the Boomers. This might've been the series when guys like Brett Wheeler & Chris Blakemore played for the Boomers.
Pretty sure Wheeler went 0-8 from the FT line in one game too.

Magic really admired the Aussie players. I think they were 43-0 on their world tour.
I remember him saying that we were his best competition "By far".
Wasn't it awesome to see sellout crowds in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
Didn't Michigan State with Magic tour Australia later on again and they played the Cannons?

Memory tells me the Cannons toured the US with Cal Bruton and played against Magic. Might have been 01?
It was 2002 in Michigan and Magic was a guest player for the Cannons.
Was this the only time a NBL team played a game in the USA?
