Will Foxtel be showing the Olympics?

I am wondering if Foxtel is showing the olympics, or just channel seven? If its channel seven, we wont be seeing full basketball games unless we find some stream service.

I loved the 8 dedicated channels Foxtel had of the last Olympics.

Got to see every Aussie Boomers game live and in full.

To answer your question, I don't know.

Ring up Foxtel and ask them

I rang them. They said while coverage is yet to be confirmed, it is basically a given as seven cant maximise profits for it unless they sell atleast the coverage they cant fit onto their channels. It is expected to work the same way it did last Olympics.

When Seven bought the rights 18 months ago their CEO said:

Worner confirmed Seven was talking "prospective partnerships" with a number of potential partners. He said Foxtel, "with whom we have a great partnership on AFL, will be the first people we speak to".

Foxtel is the way to go multiple channels all HD.

Seven even if multiple channels would be in horrid SD.

Channel 7 is AIDS. Enjoy the Olympics in SD and constant commercial breaks and cut-in and cut-outs between various events.

I hope 7 don't just do it knowing them we will only get snippets of the Boomers matches

No coverage on Foxtel, seven have the rights and will use their channels plus have an app where you can watch what you want in full, just like they did with the 7tennis app for the Australian Open

Channel 7 are going by themselves, they will do a subscription app (yes, you'll have to pay) in addition to their tv channels covering it (7mate, 7two, 7)
