ASCs to be held in Melbourne for next 3 years

Basketball Australia is pleased to announce the Australian Schools Championships (ASC's) will be held in Melbourne for the next three years.

The ASC’s are the largest event on the Australian Junior Championship calendar and will be run by Basketball Australia at the State Basketball Centre, Knox Basketball Stadium and Fairhills High School.

In the past, the ASC’s have brought some of our brightest talent to the fore including Dante Exum, Lauren Jackson, Kristi Harrower, Patty Mills, Mark Worthington as well as the likes of Najvada George, Makuach Maluach, Bul Kuol, Jack White and Dejan Vasiljevic who competed at last year’s Champs.

In 2015, 122 teams representing 70+ schools across 14 divisions and over 1,500 athletes hit the court as Lake Ginninderra College took out the Men’s Championship Division and John Paul College won the Women’s title.

The ASC’s is open to all high schools in Australia and will be held from December 4-9, 2016.
