NBA Stuff

Ok, things have really been quite for the last week or two with F/A signing and stuff, but here is some stuff for a mate in Atlanta:

- Looks like SAR could be heading to Sactown for the midlevel of $5 mill per year. Starting 5 of C Brad Miller; F Abdur-Rahim; F Peja Stojakovic; G Bonzi Wells, G Mike Bibby is nice and more than competetive.

- Mavs have agreed to a one year deal with Doug Christie (Christie was waived by the Magic using the Houston clause in the new CBA). Also looking at Diop to backup Dampier.

- Brian Grant was waived by the Lakers (Houston clause), along with Derek Anderson from the Blazers. Anderson is talking with the Wolves. Grant is looking at either Miami, Suns or Bulls.

- Steven Hunter has agreed to go to the 76ers for $17 mill over 5 years.

- The mess in Atlanta is continuing with Stern giving his approval for the other 8 part owners to get rid of Belkin as NBA Governer and finally finalise the trade for J.J

- Pachulia has sign with the Hawks.

- Duhon has signed an offer sheet from the Raptors for $9 mill over 3. Nice coin for a second rounder.

- Mutumbo has signed a two year deal to remain with the Rocket (god he's old now, what's he gonna be like in two years.... fossilised on the edge of the bench). Jon Barry signed for one year.

- The Nets are expected to waived Ron Mercer with the one off CBA clause. 76ers are looking at McKie and the Pacers are looking at Croshere.

- Simien has signed his rookie contract with the Heat for $1.8 mill over two

Cassell got trade to the Clippers today.

Cassell got shipped for Marko Jaric and Lionel Chalmers. Also included for the Clips is a 1st round Wolves lottery protected selection in the 2006 NBA Draft.

Great trade for the Wolves.... Tall promising YOUNG PG for a tired, OLD wornout, dodgy knees, bad attitude PG. 2006 looks like a weak draft compared to recent years, so not much lost there.

It's confirmed that SAR has signed with the Kings.

Where's Northerner now? What happened to "Nets in 2006"?

Actually Northerner, I take it all back. You've signed Marc Jackson, he of 5 rebounds pg fame at Philadelphia. Go Nets. ;-)

Jason Kidd could improved the play of a corpse. Refer to Scalabrine, Martin (interesting to see Martin was no where near as effective with the Nugs compared to the Nets), Williams, MacCulloch, etc etc

Kidd should make deals with each team mate that he gets 5% of each new contract they sign after playing with Kidd. He makes players around him much better.

Dang!!! It looks like the Suns have jagged the signing of Brian Grant. The Suns snagged a bargain at $1.67 million (biannual exception, which a team can use every second year) and adding a player option for a second season.

This deal has NO impact on them signing Finley if he decides to return to the club that drafted him. They are also looking at the Glove, Gary Payton.

Looks like Miami has the running on Finley, they can offer more money than the Spurs and Suns. Finley is still getting his $51 mill from the Mavs, so all he's doing is paying for chump change.

I'm putting money on that the Suns have a 65+ winning season.

The Junk Yard Dog got waived from the Knicks. H20 is safe and looks like retiring.

The Pistons are looking at Spree (WHY!!!!!)

Isiah will offer either Diop (BUST!!!!) or James Jones a three year contract

Matt Walsh (projected 1st rounder 2005 draft, but missed out) has signed a F/A contract with the Heat.

The Bucks waived Calvin Booth.
