Lucas is the reigning and back-to-back WNBL championship coach and his appointment means Adelaide now arguably boasts the two best coaches in their respective leagues, with Joey Wright mentor of its 36ers in the NBL.

No one can argue his success as a coach..... Adelaide used to be a great team, till Marino needed her ego filled too much.
Big loss for Townsville, but great to see Adelaide wanting to build using local talent, though not a lot around right now
Not sure how much wrong Tracy York did last year considering what she had to work with. She had a good second half of the season and Adelaide were competitive

my understanding is that chris will sound out all south australain girls of note playing in the WNBL.
