Perth 9yo in basketball tragedy

http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/he-was-an-awesome-boy-family-of-tyreez-mundroinas-heartbreaking-tribute-20161205-gt4074.html

I really don't know what to say. Words can't describe what his family must be going through. Times like this I really hope there is a heaven, at least for little tykes like him.

RIP little fella.

Running around with his friends. Staying fit. Then gone, just before his birthday too. Feel for the family. What a horrible situation.

Good to see the Lakeside club community showing support to each other, and the wider basketball community.

Very sad. Best wishes to the family.

I've heard this type of thing happen before with heart conditions but not for a young boy. Is it possible for these conditions to be uncovered through a test?

I have no idea of the circumstances of the Perth death.

I haven't personally heard of heart deaths happening to a child. Sadly I knew of a guy from Keilor who died on the way home from a game. He was 17.
