Why aren't United signing 2 injury replacements

2-bigs(Devin Williams/Dave Anderson) both out for a while, why aren't United signing 2-bigs as injury cover? As they will still be a big down.

Both combined were probably playing the minutes of one player?

Maybe they like the small ball lineup they have now and only really need to cover 1 player

In a Fox Sports article by Olgun Uluc he says: " Boone will join United as a temporary injury replacement, but is expected to be with the team for the remainder of the 2016-17 season, sources said"

How can this be?

3 imports per NBL team but United will have: Ware, Williams, Boone and Moore

??

Williams is useless.I hope they keep him so it gives the Hawks and other teams a better chance of winning. He's better suited to scuba diving with those goggles.

It's the same old story:
Imports are easy to replace, whether you grab a known quantity, go chasing a gun, or take a punt on someone in the D-League.
Decent Locals are much tougher to source, especially when the criteria is getting somebody better than your existing bench and DPs.

Dazz Perth have had all sorts of issues simply replacing imports this season. All sorts of separation anxiety from those they have deactivated.

Yes, but it was easy. Plenty of imports out there.
Replacing a local is hard, we have never found a replacement for Martin

If your definition of "replacing" is just "replacing with someone not up to scratch" then replacing locals is also easy.
If that's not your definition, then replacing imports clearly is not a piece of cake because Perth have already screwed it up once trying to replace Beal, a second time trying to replace JJ, and a third time trying to replace Ingram.

How have Perth 'screwed up'? Yes, they are not as high on the ladder as they are used to, but that is primarily a product of the competitors having improved a lot and Damian Martin being injured. Johnson was a more than adequate replacement for Beal.

Oh FFS.
NO replacing locals is far from easy. Where are they supposed to find them? Only guys floating around are by definition those who couldn't land a bench role with any team, and/or couldn't or wouldn't get a gig in England or similar.
This season we've had Walker, Wroe, Hussey, and Bragg. Previous years we've had guys like Luke Martin.

The pool of imports available is at least 100 times the size.
That's the very reason they have been able to sack JJ again.
JJ has easily outperformed say someone like Gus, but there is nobody around to replace a local.
