CABL Salary Cap limited team?

Just wondering if any of you guys in South Australia think your central comp should remove the salary cap? Just looking at woodville, if that was the best of the central comp then you guys shouldn't be apart of the nationals weekend!!!

Adelaide clubs couldn't afford the 90k + that the SEABL and Big V teams have, even if there was no cap.

The Adelaide clubs were in agreement that we don't even want to be in the competition.

But considering we have had 2nd place finishes in both the guys and girls, we do ok.

So if the clubs don't want to be in it why do the teams participate?

Sorry, just don't understand the decision making there.

I beleive it is a BASA decision to be part of the national ABA compitition and they have givin an agreement to the ABA to run CABL. Yes most of the clubs want out of CABL and just have a state league because of the $. However having said that as part of being in the ABA you have to have insurance for players and BASA as we know did not renew its player Insurance policy?

It's an imaginary amount of money that you can pay your players, but aren't allowed to go over that amount.

;)

What is the Salary Cap figure in CABL?

$25k for both senior teams. Can't spend more than 60% on one team though. IE - you're able to spend a max of $15k on the boys program, and the other $10k would have to go to the girls. Or vice-versa, as the case may be.
