Could these players play for the Boomers in 2020?

So we all know the main suspects for the Boomers, but there are a few players who rarely get involved in the conversation but are starring in college right now. Could these players make the Boomers in 3 years, and are they at all interested?

Deng Adel
Mangok Mathiang
Jock Landale
Emmett Naar
Xavier Cooks
Jo Lual-Acuil Jr

At this stage I would go with (although could easily change by 2020)

Delly
Mills
Maker
Simmons
Ingles

Exum
Goulding
Landale
Baynes
Broekhoff

Motum
Bairstow
(I don't think Bogut's body will hold up by 2020)

I agree with Aussie's side except Goulding shouldn't be there. I think off the list in the OP, Landale is the guy with the biggest shot to make the 2020 team although I do expect most of them to contend for 2024 positions. Cooks has had a great season at Winthrop this year and has shown the ability to play at a high level.

Deng Adel is very talented, but very streaky (41% FG). I think he will be a good player in time, but Jonah Bolden is ahead of him, will maybe (hopefully) be in the NBA next year.

Also, Motum, in spite of his defence, will play at a higher standard than Zalghiris next year.

Imo, what's exum done lately to deserve name on list. Was drafted for potential, has proved he may be a bust, but coming back from injury should give him another year or two. Being in the NBA shouldn't make you a certainty these days, by 2020,he may well be playing for united. Not that that's a bad thing but he's hardly set the world on fire.

Exum has picked it up a bit lately. And to be fair, he's still younger than most rookies by a couple of years. I think he will end up being a solid, but not spectacular, NBA player.

Cooks is ballin for Winthrop atm.

Listed as a 6'8 g/f...
He'll have to move over from the 4 spot to the 3 and improve his 3pt% for him to make the boomers.

Ummm.. Did you actually watch the Rio Olympics?

Goulding was very efficient whilst on court.

Name a better Australian off guard?

Goulding was out of his depth at the Olympics and exposed.

"Name a better Australian off guard?"

How about the second leading scorer in the tournament and the previous leading scorer at the London games... one Patrick Mills.

And don't try to tell me he's a point guard Delly soaked up all those minutes like a sponge.

I agree about Patty but who would you take as his back up shooting guard?

You said name a better off guard and I did.

Now you say name a backup. Well probably go for youth in that spot with all the experience in front so maybe Tom Wilson or Dejan Vasiljevic who will both have finished college by then.

In no scenario will Goulding make that team, he's a chucker who hasn't caught fire. Even Nathan Sobey has a better chance to make the team ahead of him.

Goulding, bairstow, motum should never be picked
for the boomer ~ They are Too slow, lack athleticism and dont play defence.

Acuil, Bolden, Adel, duop reath have more upsides and are doing very well. They should be given a chance.

My boomers team for 2020

Thon Maker/ Humphries
Simmons / bolden / Acuil
Adel / Duop Reath/ ingles
Delly / mcdowell-white
mills / exum

Honorable mention :
Deng gak
Matur maker
Landel

Almost everyone listed is not in there normal position.

Reath is not a sf.
Acuil is suited more to the 5.
Landale is by far and away ahead of Humphries.
Gak and m.maker aren't even freshman yet.
T.maker is better at the 4
The pg and sg should be reversed..
Delly and McDowell white as pgs, mills, and exum as sgs.

If you booted the older guys out, imo the squad would look like....
Delly/McDowell white
Mills/Exum/Broekhoff
Simmons/Adel
Maker/Bolden/Cooks
Landale/Humphries

No ingles, bogut, Baynes. All 32+ in next Olympics.

Dellavedova Exum
Mills Cotton Green
Ingles Broekhoff
T Maker, Landale, Kay
Baynes, Bogut.

Have you watched Maker play, he's more overrated than Cadee.

I forgot Simmons. Wtf.
Creek won't get in over Broekhoff.

If you're having to choose between Creek and Broekhoff, you've made some serious errors. They're completely different players.
