Adelaide 45 defeated Hunter 37
The Adelaide 36ers have advanced to the Quarter Finals of the Blitz with a 45-37 win over the Hunter Pirates in their final Pool A match.

Brad Hill and Dusty Rychart scored 12 points apiece to lead the 36ers, Rychart also adding eight boards. Russell Hinder was the best for Hunter with a game-high 13 points, while new Pirates recruit also added eight.

If 19-year-old Hill continues the form he's shown thus far, he'll continue to turn heads this season. Hill displayed an effortless athleticism a casual fast break dunk in the first half and a fearless offensive mindset on show.

For the Pirates, Helms was deceivingly fast, beating Sixers big-men off a step and appeared to have great court vision.

Trahair spotted up for a couple of long threes and the Hinder/Ben Melmeth front court was imposing.

The 36ers had established a 27-22 lead at the break, courtesy of dominance on the boards as Adelaide would end the game with a 30-18 rebounding edge.

The Sixers pulled away in the second half, as Pirates Coach Hurley rotated the bench for a mix-up of on court combinations.

Brad Hill has been getting to the line a lot so far. It looks like his speed is going to help the 36ers a lot.

Too quick for a lot of those older guards still running around.

Boxscore from Adelaide vs Hunter

Starters in game one were Maher, Farley, Nash, Rychart, Cooper. Game two's starters were Hill, Farley, Forman, Nash, Rychart (against Melbourne) -- Maher had 22 off the bench, missing only 2 shots. Starters from game three were Maher, Farley, Forman, Rychart, Cooper. Nash was a DNP.

Gerlach getting a bit of time on court, but Hambour none. Will be even tougher for Hambour to get on when Holmes rejoins the team.

Didn't play in the quarter final either. Hope it's just a precautionary measure!
