Qld N, SA Met, Vic Met the favourites in the boys? I would probably take WA Met, NSW Met, Vic Country in the mix but I would be surprised by NSW Country or Qld S in the top 4.

Girls should have a dominant Vic Met side?

I don't think vic m women will be dominant as last year.

Vic Metro women will be pretty tough, beat Hume City's Youth League team this week in a practice match by 30 odd.

QLD North Men will be very hard to beat.
Even though I'm not sure of my source in Launceston, I have been told the U16 Tasmania Women will be the dark horse

Tassie, don't think so. Women finished 5th and 8th at Acjbc earlier in the year.

I'd say the dark horse is nsw c.

SAC girls won't finish anywhere near those predictions. Will struggle to win a game as the coach picked HER kids and not the best by a long shot!
She has done this for years and needs to step down

Apart from Tsapatolis and Simons, who are the other bigs ? We barely have any in 01 group so I'm guessing schueller and co will be watching closely.

Some quality 1-2-3's in the 01 group for the Asia Champs. They are not blessed with size but have some very good perimeter players that can score.

Not sure if any of the 02 4-5's are any better than those available in the 01 age group?

Going by the boys stats those top 5 or tallest 01 kids certainly didn't set the world on fire in Townsville!

True.
But Crowe was behind Dalton and Igbenoba behind Bowen. Campbell didn't make the u18s and Beattie didn't play a lot.
Not sure any of these guys will be in camp??

At pf
Jackson played well at both tournaments as bottom age and Steiner performed awesome at last years u16s. But didn't make cut for u18s.

Very guard heavy it looks like with
Madden, Capetola, Clarke, bald, meldrum, taulapiu, Rantall, all making u18s as bottom agers. Doesn't include, all the quality 02 guards will see at u16s in July.

Two in the top 5 scorers for the tournament, three in the top five 3's. Not bad for first years in a decent field of competition.

Of those '02 bigs, Waters is actually 6"10 but a long term prospect. And 3 others are WA kids.

WA metro look huge, just a case of whether their guards stack up..

Not quite as far along in his development though.
