All-NBA teams announced

First team: Harden, Westbrook, James, Leonard, Davis
Second team: Curry, Thomas, Antetokounmpo, Durant, Gobert
Third team: DeRozan, Wall, Butler, Green, Jordan

Then the rest: Towns, Paul, M Gasol, Cousins, George, Hayward, Whiteside, Irving, Thompson, Jokic, Lillard, Millsap, Aldridge, Griffin, Horford

Davis (45 first team votes) only just beat Gobert (43) to make the first team. Harden was the only unanimous first team pick.

Surely you go with Towns over Jordan?

I haven't seen a lot of Towns play but if you judge purely on stats then he should get the selection as he scores over double the points per game that Jordan does who is obviously limited offensively. The media must have weighted Jordan's defensive presence very highly and marked Towns down severely for his team not making the playoffs. Only one player (Anthony Davis) was selected from a team that didn't make the playoffs.

They were discussing on ESPN whether CP3 should have made 3rd All NBA but he did miss 20+ games and DeRozan & Wall had excellent seasons.

Being selected to this has become even more important now since it dictates eligibility for supermax deals.

Media voters aren't stupid.

KAT is awesome but his usage and minutes were more insane than his boxscore, which also failed to show how bad he was on defence and his team works.

If he can do the same next season whilst being competent defending and driving his team to the playoff chase, he could easily be in 1st or 2nd team.
